Preparing for Next Big Trip

Happy Weekly Wishes Weekly Wishers!

My last week goal, to make a list of things that can cheer me up, fits this week’s theme, Happiness.

I thought the goal would be easy, it wasn’t. I needed a longer time to come up with the simple things that makes me happy but the whole process was much more fun than anticipated. This definitely was one of my favorite WWs.

I have the things written neatly on a piece of paper and tucked somewhere in my drawer. It’s like my secret stash of chocolate, only better.

This week my main goal is to start the preparation for next year big trip to South Korea. It is still months away but I am a planner. I need to prepare everything long before the big day. I am kinda like Monica in F.R.I.E.N.D.S., minus her amazing cooking skill.

This Week’s Tasks:

  1. Renew my passport. Most important but least liked task. Tech fairies please make us a once in a lifetime digital passport.
  2. Find cozy and interesting, BUT also very clean, accommodations; like the one we stayed in Tokyo.
  3. Book a flight to Jeju Island, but first I have to..
  4. Convince my besties to go to Jeju Island. Maybe I can start with “Even Briana from Chai&Bri recommended it” or invite them over for some back-to-back of Winter Sonata.
  5. Create a saving plan to cover expenses for the trip and to buy some basic winter clothes.

If you are still brand new on this Weekly Wishes linkup and want to participate (oh you must, it’s exciting!), visit The Nectar Collective and join the fun. Also, please drop a comment below about your weekly wish, so I can come and say Hi and cheer a bit for you.

Alrighty, all the best for you and me.

Ps. I would love to hear your recommendation on no. 2. Gamsahabnida in advance.

Hi Becky, Tokyo is amazing. I hope you get to experience it one day. Thank you for the good luck and for dropping by 🙂

  • Lyndsay ♡

Good luck with planning your trip, it sounds amazing! Travelling is so much fun but can be stressful too so if it’s carefully planned you should have lots of fun 🙂

I love bubble tea with pearls, rainy nights and pubs that sell cider too!

Yay! A fellow bubble tea addict !! I saw it on your blog header, loving the design btw! Thank you for the nice words.

I have a feeling we have more things in common, let’s find out in time.

  • Good luck with your goals! I really need to GET a passport. I don’t have any immediate travel plans, but getting a passport seems like an important step. 🙂

Hi Katie, yes it is! Believe me once you have a passport, the travel plans and invitations will come knocking 😉

  • So that’s where you’re heading next! Sounds exciting already! My colleague is a planner too. She started (slowly) planning her 2-weeks Japan trip in December a year ago. Brochures, hotel reviews on respective booking websites, and travel blogs definitely helped in many ways during the planning process.

    • Foreign Geek

Hahaha.. yes! It has been on my list like forever, finally my friends agreed to go, fuih! I mainly read travel blogs while researching about my trips, it feels more authentic and personal.

I guess you are packing for your trip Bangkok hu? Nice! Enjoy your holiday, I look forward to see read the stories and see the pictures.

      • Ah. The planning-to-go process is always tough when it comes to friends, BUT the travelling period will totally rock it. I miss going abroad with friends. Kinda suck that all of us are busier than before. D:

I tend to plan my packing list two days before the trip and only act on it the night before. This actually help to minimise any excitement that will distract me from current work. My boyfriend is already pretty much distracted on his own. Heh.

Thanks in advance! Hopefully the photos and my words will do justice to the trip. :p

  • Hey!!! Good Luck on your goals! And it’s always good to plan!!! 🙂 I can’t wait to see pictures of your adventure!!! Have a good week!

Thank you Stephanie 🙂 It’s nice to hear it from you.

  • I may be a nerd, but I love planning my travels. It is almost as fun as actually traveling! 🙂 I am with you on getting a passport. I am actually in the process of getting my next one! This makes me way too excited!! YAY for travels!

  • Ah, I need to prep for my next big trip too. I’m going on a big trip in December with my family, but I also want to start brainstorming some places for me to travel on my own. Recently I’ve gotten it into my head that I need to travel solo somewhere for various reasons, and my brain is all abuzz with the different places I could go!

    • Foreign Geek

I have been contemplating to travel solo as well. It’s actually one of the things to do in my life list. Where are you going in December? Which kind of places you would like to travel alone to?

  • You have some great things on your “cheer me up” list.
Good luck with your preparation for your trip. I have booked a solo trip to San Francisco and Las Vegas next year (I live in the UK), I have the accomodation and flights booked, but I really need to spend some time looking into what I want to do and where I want to go whilst I am there.

    • Foreign Geek

San Francisco has been on my list forever !!! When are you going? I want to read all about it 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Rebecca.
